According to data gathered by IndustryNet, 1,647 companies in the metal coatings industry with total yearly sales of $31,500,634,923 provide 33,207 jobs. They manufacture and apply coatings that impart these and other enhancements to metal products.

New Developments

The nation's metal coatings companies are constantly evolving. In response to both consumer demands and government regulations limiting emissions, water-based and solvent-free products are in continuous development. The appeal of coatings, which cure by electron beam, ultraviolet light or a combination of both, is growing.
