VPI, Inc. is an organization dedicated to enhancing the dignity and self-worth of individuals with disabilities through a variety of community programs. Their services are designed to assist these individuals in developing essential skills and achieving greater independence. Recently, VPI has initiated the construction of the Community Programs Collective, set to open in early 2025. This facility will integrate several of VPI's existing programs, including Early Intervention for children from birth to three years old, Adult Day Services, and Education and Employment Programs. The establishment of the Collective is a response to the increasing demand for support services in Northeast Wisconsin, aiming to provide improved opportunities and resources for individuals with disabilities and their families. The Community Programs Collective will feature a Family Support Center, which will serve as a stable location for families to connect with their Birth to Three support teams. This center is particularly beneficial for families facing housing instability, offering a secure environment for service delivery, private counseling, workshops, and training sessions. In addition to the Family Support Center, the new facility will enhance VPI's Day Services for adults by introducing sensory rooms, an accessible training kitchen, and an outdoor patio. These improvements are intended to promote independence, skill development, and social interaction among participants. With the expansion of these services, VPI anticipates a significant increase in their capacity to provide one-on-one support, allowing them to serve over 100 additional individuals each year in a welcoming and accessible setting.
